aggregation

echopype.metrics.aggregation(ds: Dataset, range_label='echo_range') → DataArray

Calculated the index of aggregation (IA) [unit: m^-1].

This quantity is reciprocal of the equivalent area. IA is high when small areas are much denser than the rest of the distribution.
